Fairview Primary School continued the transformation of their garden and grounds into an accessible interactive learning space for pupils and the wider community to enjoy all year round.

Tidy Randalstown purchased three new dog poo bag dispensers. The location of the dispensers was determined through an on-line vote through our Tidy Randalstown facebook page.

Women’s Aid ABCLN transformed a rich bio-diverse space by planting and rejuvenating the garden while also transforming women’s lives by creating a well-being hub that focuses on gardening for health and well-being. The volunteer-led project includes all aspects of gardening from nurturing seedlings to growing vegetables; planting window boxes and native beds; weeding and composting; and environmental activities & projects for children and young people to ensure the on-going sustainability of the garden.

Creggan Local Heritage Group created a community garden to encourage pollinators and wildlife and a space where people can take a break from the turmoil of modern life; a quiet space to be mindful, to be contemplative, to be at one with nature.  It is a space where local people can come together to seed swap, share stories and experiences on life and nature. It has brought people of all ages and backgrounds together to create a sense of pride and better local environment for all.

Duneane Primary School created an area where children, families and the wider community can relax and find some inner peace. A multisensory experience allows children, staff, parents and the wider community to experience the nature and tranquility smelling plants such as lavender.
