Whether you're looking to make an impact as an individual, school, business, or community group, get involved and help make your local area cleaner and greener. With over 1,100 "Spots" revitalised and 20,000 volunteers engaged, the Adopt A Spot project encourages environmental pride in your local area through taking action. Whether it’s picking up litter, planting wildflowers, or transforming spaces into community food gardens, every effort makes a difference.
Choose Your Spot: Choose a spot you’re passionate about, such as a littered stretch of beach, an messy alley, or simply your neighbourhood street. Always make sure the area is safe and that you have permission to access it.
Plan Your Activities: Decide what activities you wish to undertake in your Spot. You could plant for pollinators, create wildlife habitats, grow food for the community, or do a clean-up.
Register: Create an account on Submittable and sign-up to Adopt A Spot here. By signing up, you agree to maintain your Spot and follow our health and safety guidance.
Log Your Progress: Log in to your account and track your progress by completing the Litter Log. The Litter Log keeps us up to date with your clean-up activities. We'll also send out an annual survey to check how you are getting on and get your feedback.
We’d also love to see your impact—why not share some before-and-after pictures of your Spot? Feel free to email them to us here.
